Rathmines College Graduate on winning team!



A graduate of the Higher National Diploma in Marketing in Rathmines College was part of a team of students to win second place in the National Fantasy Budget competition. Richard O’Donnel progressed on to the Entrepreneurship Degree in IADT from Rathmines. The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Dermot Ahern TD, presented the second place award to IADT students in the competition run by the Irish Taxation Institute to find the best ideas to improve the Irish economy. The competition is open to all third level and fourth level business students. There were several hundred entries this year. The successful students are (from left to right in the attached photo); Richard O' Donnell (Rathmines College), Laura Frankish, Minister Dermot Ahern, Karen Doyle, Gordon Curtis and Jim Ryan, President of the Irish Taxation Institute. In a very closely contested final, IADT were pipped by University of Limerick with masters students from NUI Galway in third place.
