Rathmines College offers a range of courses from different Irish and internationally recognised educational and professional bodies such as FETAC, BTEC, PRII, ACCA, IATI.
Rathmines College has a long established and admired reputation as a centre of learning. Providing full-time education since 1902 the college has developed an excellent reputation with employers, accrediting bodies, students past and present, parents, the local community and other education institutions.
The College is located in the vibrant and accessible suburb of Rathmines. Hosting a myriad of facilities and only a short walk to St Stephen’s Green, Rathmines is an established student centre. Access routes are varied including many bus routes and the Luas.
4. Progression Opportunities:
Taking a course here in Rathmines College is often just the first step for students. Internal progression from FETAC Level 5 Awards to Advanced Certificates FETAC Level 6 and BTEC Higher National Diplomas for example are a popular option and many external progression links are established and facilitated by the college. Graduates of courses can become eligible for entry to Universities and from some courses receive exemptions onto Degree programmes
5. Employment Record:
The College tracks graduate progression every year and has evidence of their fantastic record of performance. Based on 2007 figures 92% of all Further Education graduates are in full-time employment or education. Employers have a high regard for our qualifications and our graduates. The college assists students in securing relevant employment. Work experience during courses of study also offers opportunities to gain practical experience and develop links with industry. The college has recently established an Employers Forum.

Students find our staff members approachable and accessible and everybody strives to provide a friendly service. This student centred environment assists students in the transition from the secondary sector or those re-entering full time education
Rathmines College offers a range of services to students including a Guidance service, and an organised work-experience programme. The college also welcomes and facilitates VTOS and BTE applicants and provides advice and assistance on grant application procedures.
8. Personal Approach:
The ethos of the college focuses on the individual needs of each member of our student body. Tutors are given the role of assisting students with both academic and personal progression during their time in the college.
The college provides a library resource centre, free high-speed internet access using broadband connections, individual student profiles on the college network, a radio studio, state-of-the –art IT facilities, student canteen and a supervised study area. Extra-curricular activities include soccer, swimming, student council and drama.
