Give ’em  Pumpkin to talk about- RAG Day  |  Diana Do and Kinshika Gupta |13th November 2025

23rd Oct 2025 was quite an unforgettable day. Everyone including the teachers were dressed up in incredible Halloween costumes and the Rathmines college had its spook on, decorations, music, snacks and activities and the highlight of the day the magic show (no one can forget when he shoved himself in the big balloon, quite impressive).

Spooky Students!

Ghouls just wanna have fun … and so do boys

I LOVED the costumes; everyone had put so much effort into their costumes and pretty much slayed.
Don ‘t they look fang-tastic!

Everyone had different costumes and walking through the hallways felt like I was in a fictional story with every character. One second, I’m being jump scared by Jacob (Twilight, werewolf) and the then I just see jester waltzing through the halls (best costume btw). ALSO, the sheriff in the photo looks like an uncanny replica of Rick in the walking dead.

For Halloween Rag Day at Rathmines College, the school turned into a spoooooky wonderland 👻 with cobwebs 🕸️ on the stairs, creepy hanging bodies, and loads of other decorations — “verryyyyy scarryyy” (but in the best way!). We had a table tennis competition with music playing, everyone laughing, and just having a great time. It was so much fun seeing everyone getting involved, with lots of friendly competition and good vibes. Alex Reilly took the win for table tennis! There were also VR games set up for students to try out, which everyone enjoyed, and a FIFA competition where Alex McDonagh came out on top. The highlight of the day, though, was the magic show — the magician was hilarious and super interactive, keeping everyone entertained. Even when he messed up a few tricks (maybe on purpose 👀), the crowd couldn’t stop laughing. Overall, it was a fun, spooky, and unforgettable day!
