Applying to City of Dublin FET College Rathmines
Follow the 6-step process below to apply, register, and begin classes.

STEP 1
Applications are now open. Please click the Apply Now link on any page to apply.
All courses have a €100 registration charge. Some courses have additional charges.
📩 Receive a Provisional Offer
STEP 2
We offer you a provisional place subject to satisfying entry requirements.
Entry requirements:
- QQI Level 5: Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent.
- QQI Level 6: Full QQI Level 5 certificate or equivalent.
- Some courses may require an audition, portfolio, or similar assessment.
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability and courses forming.
💳 Accept Offer & Pay Registration
STEP 3
When the payment system goes live, accept your provisional place and pay the €100 non-refundable registration charge online to secure your place.
🪪 Complete Registration
STEP 4
Log in, open the Documents tab, and upload required documents.
Learner Details Form: Complete this before induction (available in August).
Upload Photograph: Use a recent passport-style photo.
👥 Attend Induction
STEP 5
Inductions take place at the beginning of September (about two hours). You’ll receive full details by text and email.
Bring: Photo ID and your most recent academic results.
🎓 Start Classes
STEP 6
Your exact start date is confirmed at induction. Courses are provisionally scheduled to start mid-September.
