News and Media in a Digital Age
The course teaches students the fundamental skills needed for a career in media. It incorporates both practical methods of working across various media and the theoretical underpinnings of journalism. The course reflects the use of digital technology to provide content on multiple platforms. It gives students the tools to report and analyse the news in a constantly evolving media environment.

Education Progression
QQI Level 5 Award holders are eligible to progress onto Level 6 Advanced Certificates in Rathmines College or to apply to a wide variety of courses in Higher Education in Universities and Institutes of Technology including: TU Dublin (Journalism, Film and Broadcasting), NUI Maynooth (Arts, Media Studies) and DCU (Arts/Media Studies, Communications, Journalism).
