This course aims to equip learners with the skills they need to become producers of innovative digital social media content. The focus of this course is producing innovative media content for a variety of different platforms. The course will guide learners step by step through a range of practical online media skills, story formats and creative tools to get started producing online media content.

- Course Requirements
Students applying for this course should have passed the Leaving Certificate in five subjects including English.
Mature Applicants welcome.
All applicants whose first language is not English will be tested at entry.
In the case of remote/blended learning use of a laptop and wifi connection is desirable.
- Education Progression
QQI Level 5 Award holders are eligible to progress onto Rathmines College's Level 6 Advanced Certificate in News and Media in the Digital Age or apply to a wide variety of courses in Higher Education Univsersities and Institudes of Technology including: TU Dublin (Journalism, Film and Broadcasting), Maynooth (Arts, Media Studies), and DCU (Arts/Media Studies, Communications, Journalism).
This couse has a mixture of continuous practical assessments and written examinations.
- Work Experience
Work experience is an essential part of all our programmes. The College assists students in finding suitable work placements and monitors and assesses their performance in the work place.
- Course Charges
€460 or €210 (with an in date medical card).
VTOS learners do not pay course fees.
A deposit of €100 secures a place with the balance to be paid before the course commences.
