English (ESOL) and Business for International Students
This one-year QQI Level 5 course is designed for students from overseas who wish to improve their knowledge of English and acquire Business and IT Skills. Students get the opportunity to participate in the diverse and vibrant learning environment of Rathmines College.
This course provides intensive English language training at intermediate level. Each student benefits from seven hours per week of English tuition.
Other modules include Communications, Customer Service & Business Administration which provides students with the opportunity to improve their English across all skills (speaking, listening, reading & writing). and prepare students for employment in Ireland. Students develop lasting friendships during their time at Rathmines College.

Education Progression
Students who complete the one-year QQI Level 5 English (ESOL) and IT course can progress through the CAO system to Higher Education courses in Trinity College Dublin, UCD, DCU, Maynooth University, TU Dublin, National College of Ireland and IADT.
Another progression route is the Rathmines College QQI Level 6 one-year Advanced Certificate in Business and the QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Business – Legal. Students have the opportunity to access courses at Advanced Entry (2nd year) of popular degree courses in both TU Dublin and NCI. Students also progress to the Rathmines College Professional Accounting courses where they can choose from a range of ACCA and ATI courses.
