Advanced Business & English (Level 6)

This one-year QQI level 6 course in English & Business is suitable for students who have successfully completed the English & IT course at QQI level 5 or its equivalent. The aim of this course is to bring students from intermediate level English (B1) to upper-intermediate (B2).

All students who are accepted onto our ESOL level 6 course will study English intensively every week. The English and Business modules will give you an excellent grounding in core skills and competencies for operating in the Irish workplace. They will also ensure excellent employability, especially for multinational corporations operating in Ireland because they often need skilled workers with ability in two or more world languages. Students on this course will also study Communications and Personal Professional Development which are basically additional English language modules where you will learn how to express yourself well in writing and speaking. You will also learn advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

“My time at Rathmines College was transformative. Despite initial nerves, the supportive teachers made the QQI Level 5 & 6 Business and Finance, and Advanced Business courses enjoyable. These courses paved the way for my transition to studying at TUD Accounting. I enthusiastically recommend these programs for a strong academic and professional foundation whether in HR, Management, Finance, or Accounting.”

I had a very good relationship with my teachers and classmates, they are like my friends and I am so much more confident talking and writing in English.
I challenged myself to converse with native speakers and succeeded during my time at Rathmines. The welcoming atmosphere allowed me to approach conversations with a positive attitude and enjoy the process. Improving your skills while having fun is possible, so don't hesitate to start your own journey!
