- Students applying for this course should have a Level 5 QQI award or equivalent
- English language proficiency level of B1 (intermediate) required
- All applicants who apply for our Level 6 ESOL course must sit the Rathmines College language placement assessment.
- Mature applicants are very welcome, as are students with relevant experience in this area

Advanced Business & English (Level 6)
This one-year QQI level 6 course in English & Business is suitable for students who have successfully completed the English & IT course at QQI level 5 or its equivalent. The aim of this course is to bring students from intermediate level English (B1) to upper-intermediate (B2).
All students who are accepted onto our ESOL level 6 course will study English intensively every week. The English and Business modules will give you an excellent grounding in core skills and competencies for operating in the Irish workplace. They will also ensure excellent employability, especially for multinational corporations operating in Ireland because they often need skilled workers with ability in two or more world languages. Students on this course will also study Communications and Personal Professional Development which are basically additional English language modules where you will learn how to express yourself well in writing and speaking. You will also learn advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Option 1: Students who successfully graduate are eligible for advanced entry to 2nd year of L8 (Honours) Business Degree courses in the following Higher Education Institutions:
- TU Dublin –Tallaght Campus
- IADT
- National College of Ireland (NCI)
Option 2: Graduates can also apply through CAO for 1st year entry and advanced entry to other 3rd Level courses and colleges.

Work Experience
Work experience is an essential part of all our programmes. The College assists students in finding suitable work placements and monitors and assesses their performance in the work place.
Students are required to completed a 2 week placement in an area related to the Advanced Business course.
